STEM Camp 2017 (from Moore County Schools → LINK)

Now in our 5th year, Moore County Schools have added a new partner, the Moore County Airport, to offer an aviation theme to STEM Camp. Students will have a fun opportunity to learn science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) concepts in a very hands-on way, taught by great MCS teachers over a 4-day program.

Two choices for STEM Camp will be offered this year – June 19-22 and June 26-29. Both camps will be held at New Century Middle School, 1577 Union Church Road in Cameron. All students entering the 3rd thru the 10th grade are welcome to be part of the fun.

Campers will be programming drones to fly, designing/3D printing/testing wings using wind tunnels, programming robots, launching rockets and much more. At the conclusion of each camp, we will tour the Moore County Airport and talk to Airport Mechanics, Pilots, Air Traffic Controllers. At the end of the day on Thursday, students that stick around will get the opportunity to take a flight with the Pilots.
